New editorial cartoons keep showing up in my electronic in-box. Keep them coming.

There is also a new bumper sticker and several new essays, including some 'video essays' on YouTube.

If you spend any time at all here, or got a giggle or a smile or even a hearty laugh from one of the stories or slides in the Break Time Presentations, PLEASE drop a note in the Guest Book at the bottom of this page. A few kind words are all I need to add more!

Fight Socialism!

A collection of essays, cartoons and anything else I can get my hands on to show the absurdity of Barrack Hussein Obama's relentless pursuit of Socialism in this country. If this offends you, then you are part of the problem.

Amy Pictures

If you have ever met me, you know I'm the proud Grandfather of the most beautiful and smartest little Granddaughter known to man. Rather than have me send six CD's full of pictures to you, here are a few of the best. Come back from time to time for the latest ones.

Breaktime

Rather than forward all the weird stuff people send me in e-mails, I keep a collection of some of the more bizarre and funniest in a presentation I used to use at breaktime when I taught classes. Back then, I had to keep it such that it would not offend anyone. Since I'm now retired and don't have to try and impress you as the most bland person in the world, I can include anything that tickles my funny bone. So beware.

Heart Attack

I had a series of heart attacks several years ago. Since I knew so little about the subject, I'm fairly lucky to be alive today, not because I was smart enough to know what was happening, but because some very capable EMT people saved my life! You may learn something by reading my story, or you may giggle once or twice, or you might even have a sniffle. Or, if you are lucky, you might get all three experiences for the price of reading one short little essay.

Opinions

There are a few strange souls in this world who actually listen and care about what I feel about things. As time permits, I'll document my opinions on politics, religion and other taboo subjects. I never expect total agreement, but I do expect only civilized replies, that demonstrate at least a modicum of logic, rather than the mindless repetition of whatever the media currently determines to be the 'current public opinion'. All others will be discarded.

Quotes & Wisdom

There seems to be quite a few other people in this world that think they have something to say. I've kept a collection of some of the best on the pages below, sorted loosely into various and arbitrary categories.

Real Tall Tales

These are true life stories from a real imagination. Due to the author's humility and wish to remain anonymous, I have tried to not use my own name too often. Read and enjoy.

Fun Links

There are a lot of interesting sites available on the web. You can learn a lot about a lot of things ... or you can just have some fun.

Central Command

Are you tired of hearing nothing but bad news about our efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan and elsewhere? Do you get the feeling from our media reports that the U.S. Military is nothing but a bunch of idiots running around killing innocent women and children? Do politicians calling for us to run and surrender and hide from danger aggravate you? Would you like to have unfiltered access to the hear what the people running the show believe they are doing? Try this, you may be surprised at what you learn:

Defend America

Or, for a completely different slant on what you hear on TV or read in the papers, check out the site below. You may be surprised at what you learn and wonder why this type of information is kept so quiet.

The following is the inspirational thought for the day from Greatday.com.

Before listing all the credits, resources and software used to create and maintain this site, take a minute and exercise those seldom used brain cells. The following little exercise is brought to you by The Free Dictionary See how many of the words you can match with their definition. Come back and try often as they change through the days and weeks. Guessing is allowed and, in fact, more often than not, needed.

If you learn something from this little exercise, it is your own fault!

It takes a little bit of time and some great tools to put these pages together. In the process of looking for some great tools for a reasonable price, I've tried a lot of shareware, freeware and open source tools. Below are links to some of the tools I have found very helpful in creating and maintaining this site.

Total cost: $0.00 USD

To get any of these great software tool for free, simply click on the logos below.

Product Description
As an alternative to the expensive Micro$oft products for word processing, spreadsheets and presentations. This does about everything MS Office does, and more, and it is free. What else do you want?
If you don't like Sun or Open Office, try the IBM equivalent. It is the free version of Lotus Symphony, recently made available for free downloading. They both support the Open Document Format and they both read and can save files in the proprietary Micro$oft format.
Creating source files for your web page is a lot of tedious, error-prone work. For an easy to use, flexible and powerful web page editor, that does most of the hard work for you, but allows you complete control, try 1st Page by EVRsoft. The only cost for the free version is a short nag screen.
Do you work with digital pictures. Need to view them, resize them, display them, fix them, put nifty effects on them? IrFanView does it all, is easy to use and it is FREE! You can pitch those other expensive programs that are too hard to use.
Once you have your web site all built on your PC, you have to get it uploaded to the web server. And, every time you change something, you have to upload again. Try this nifty program that makes it all easy to do.
Need some help getting an RSS feed working on your site, like the Fox News feed on this site. Try these folks for some helpful hints and code.
Want quick answers to questions like what does a word mean, or who is that person, or where is that place? Check out the search box below or use this logo to find out how to add this to your website, or even your desktop. One of the handiest little free applications around.
This site was designed for and looks best and works best on the Mozilla Firefox browser. Of course, if you believe all the drivel and marketing hype propagated by the Micro$oft drones, led by the richest man in the world, it probably works with his product also. But, in case you have noticed or read too much of the constant mind-numbing praise for him and his company, he really doesn't need any more money.
Same description her for a E-mail program. Be a mouse and follow the pied-piper from Redmond, or download a free equivalent from the Open Source community. In other words, continue making the richest man in the world the richest man in the world, or give some credit to some really smart people without the marketing force of Micro$oft.
